Paul McGrath has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Aston Villa’s win against Bolton Wanderers on Friday afternoon.
Villa have got the better of Bolton 2-0 away from home at the University of Bolton Stadium in the Championship.
After a goalless first half, Dean Smith’s side took the lead just two minutes into the second period through Jack Grealish, and Chelsea-owned striker Tammy Abraham doubled the advantage on 57 minutes.
Villa legend McGrath was following the match, and he has revelled in the win for the Villans on Twitter.
McGrath wrote on Twitter: “27 points in a row, what a team this is @AVFCOfficial has won the right to be in the play offs. We now own the motivation, let’s use it. Dean Smith is showing us the way, I hope everyone on the panel are following #utv #proud #respect.”

Playoff momentum
The result at the University of Bolton Stadium means that Bolton have now been relegated to League One, while Villa have won nine successive games in the Championship.
The Villans are now fifth in the Championship table with 72 points from 43 matches.
Smith’s side are on a great run of form, and they have momentum on their side in terms of winning promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs.
