Roberto Di Matteo has been appointed the new Aston Villa manager.

Paul McGrath has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the appointment of Roberto Di Matteo as the Aston Villa manager.
Di Matteo has been appointed the new Villa manager with Steve Clarke coming in as his assistant.
The former Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion boss has succeeded Remi Garde, who parted company with the Villans in March.

Villa legend McGrath has given his backing to Di Matteo, and has advised the club to sign players who wants to play for them.
Villa got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign and will play in the Championship next season.

Di Matteo has experience of managing in the division, having guided West Bromwich Albion to promotion to the Premier League from the Championship in 2010.
The Villans may have to make a number of changes to the current squad and sign players who are suited to the Championship.
The club need to bring in players who are ready to give their all for the shirt and do the best they can to take the team back to the Premier League.
