Abraham has reportedly ignored Wolverhampton Wanderers to stay at Championship side Villa.
Paul McGrath has applauded Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham for choosing to help get his current loan side promoted to the Premier League from the Championship – rather than jumping ship to sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 21-year-old has been on fire for Villa this season since joining the club on loan from Premier League giants Chelsea in the summer. He has found the back of the net 16 times for Dean Smith’s side.
BBC Sport report that Wolves wanted to sign Abraham this month, attempting to complete a loan move for the ex-Bristol City and Swansea City loanee – meaning he would leave Villa.
Negotiations have been ongoing over the last few days but it is now being reported that the England youth international has decided to ignore Wolves’ advances to stay at Villa Park.
It is believed that even though Abraham has chosen to remain at Villa, Wolves are still said to be interested and may look to land the England forward later in the window.
It is yet to be seen if Abraham is allowed to play for another team this season despite having played for Chelsea in the Community Shield and Villa – meaning he could break the two-game rule.
