Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
Paul Mariner has told ESPN FC that Arsenal will win against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby this weekend.
Arsenal will take on Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Former Arsenal forward Mariner has backed the Gunners to pick up all three points from the encounter.
“It’s a fascinating derby, it really is,” Mariner told ESPN FC. “Tottenham are playing great football, winning for fun, the squad’s functioning and firing on all cylinders.”
“Arsenal sort of stuttered in midweek, wasn’t a great performance, but it’s a North London derby,” added Mariner while picking Arsenal as the winners. “You have got to bring it, you have got to bring it strong, and guess what? There’s a shock.”
Arsenal will head into the North London derby against Tottenham on the back of a 1-0 victory over defending English champions Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have recovered their form and have won their last three matches in all competitions, including the FA Cup semi-final tie against Premier League rivals Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Tottenham will head into the game against Arsenal on the back of 1-0 victory over London rivals Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park.
The win against the Eagles saw Spurs bounce back from a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Spurs are fighting for the Premier League title, while Arsenal are aiming to finish in the top four.
