West Ham United have been linked with the 17-year-old.

Paul Mariner has told ESPN that he does not believe West Ham United’s reported interest in Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard will result in a transfer.
The Sun reported on Monday that West Ham were interested in a loan move for the 17-year-old, who secured a switch to the Spanish giants last summer but has made only one senior apperarance for Los Blancos since then.

Real Madrid’s hierarchy still hate the Norwegian wonderkid very highly but they reportedly want him to have a season on loan to bolster his experience.
Is a year at the Olympic Stadium under Slaven Bilic a possibility? Not according to Mariner, who does not believe a move to the Irons will materialise.

“I just don’t see it,” he said to ESPN. “17 years of age, went to Real Madrid with a fantastic reputation and it didn’t really happen for him.
“To go to the Premier League? I cannot see it. I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
West Ham kick off the Premier League season this weekend with a tricky visit to Chelsea in Antonio Conte’s first competitive game as Blues manager.
The Hammers finished seventh last season and West Ham fans will want to see their side push on this time around – and few would doubt them doing that.
