Paul Lambert’s attacking style of play could prove to be both a blessing and a curse for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Ever since Paul Lambert arrived at Molineux, there has been a renewed sense of optimism surrounding Wolverhampton Wanderers. Whilst there are still a great deal of problems to iron out, the general consensus is that Lambert has the potential to bring the glory days back to the club.
The Scot’s attacking mentality has seen the forward line for Wolves find a new sense of confidence, and they are starting to look more and more like a side capable of shooting up the league at a moment’s notice.

The problem however, as it always tends to be, is the defence. With so much emphasis being put on driving the team forward and carving out opportunities, it leaves concern for what the former Villa boss will do with the back four in January.
In the 4-4 extravaganza against Fulham at the weekend there were obviously some glaring issues that need to be resolved. In fact, they are issues that have been present right throughout the season. If Wolves want to be taken seriously in this league then finding that balance is key to success, although it does tend to be a hard art to master in the Championship.
With wealthy owners ready to splash the cash, Lambert needs to be careful that he doesn’t make too many rash decisions in the same manner of his predecessor Walter Zenga.
