Paul Lambert clearly has high hopes for Wolverhampton Wanderers starlet Bright Enobakhare.

Paul Lambert has suggested that Wolves starlet Bright Enobakhare has the potential to be worth a fortune in future, provided that he continues to develop in the number 10 role much like the man that Lambert labelled the best player he ever played alongside, the Express and Star reports.

The 19-year-old has struggled to make a major impact this season, having failed to hold down a regular place in the side. But while some may have wondered how integral he is to Lambert’s plans moving forward – especially with the Wolves boss looking to trim his large squad over the summer – it is clear, judging by the manager’s comments, that the Nigerian definitely has a role to play at Molineux.

Lambert has suggested that Enobakhare’s value could rocket in the future, but named the former international player that the teenager needs to look up to if he wants to realise his full potential.

“Once he gets that end product…I’ve always said to him, a number 10…I played with a number 10 who was probably the best player I played with, a guy called Andreas Moller,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.

“Andi was incredible, and he had an assist and a goal threat – as England will probably know in the Euros when he scored that penalty (in Euro 96) which I was delighted with!

“Andi was a number 10 that could score and get assists. If Bright gets that in his game then that guy will be worth a fortune.

“He’s a huge talent and hopefully if he’s nurtured right, this club with have one hell of a player.”

While the youngster may be a long way off having anything like the talent that Moller, who won the World Cup, Euro 96, and the Champions League – when he was playing alongside Lambert for Borussia Dortmund – trying to learn from the German could be an excellent way to develop his game.

And perhaps with a full pre-season working under Lambert under his belt, it may not be out of the question to suggest that Enobakhare could look a much-improved player when the new campaign begins in a few months.
