The Wolves boss signed the England international at Norwich City.
Norwich’s John Ruddy
Norwich City recently announced the players they will not be keeping on board this summer, with some very big names on the list including Sebastian Bassong and Kyle Lafferty. Another name present was England international goalkeeper John Ruddy
The 30-year-old, who joined Norwich in 2010, is available on a free transfer this summer and that should surely spark the interest of his former manager Paul Lambert at Wolves.
The Scot signed Ruddy from Everton, after he had impressed on loan at Motherwell, and he went on to become a big star in Lambert’s promotion winning Norwich side of 2010-11 and will be fondly remembered by the Wolves boss.
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Carl Ikeme walks off dejected after being sent off
Wolves currently have Carl Ikeme and Andy Lonergan as their first-choice keeping options, with Jack Ruddy a talented youngster coming through the ranks. However, Ruddy is perhaps a better option than the pair and Wolves could benefit from bringing in a new stopper this summer, as Lambert aims to build a team capable of promotion challenging.
Lambert is a huge fan of the big goalie and it would be a shrewd move if he decided to bring him to Molineux this summer.
