Wolverhampton Wanderers have recently shown signs of improvement under Paul Lambert.
During an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, Wolves boss Paul Lambert raved about Joe Mason, labelling the forward as an ‘intelligent’ player, and highlighted his natural ability to find the back of the net.
The 25-year-old Irishman moved to the Molineux from Cardiff City in January 2016, and has gone on to make 34 appearances for the Black Country outfit.
And he arguably scored the most important goal since he has been with Wolves, during their 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Lambert spoke to Wolves.co.uk, and shared just how highly he rates the 25-year-old:
“He’s a really intelligent footballer, a really good player and an excellent finisher. You watch him in training and he’s got a great knack of hitting the net.”
Wolves’ win on Saturday was their third victory from their last five games, and they now sit just 13 points adrift from the promotion play-off spots.

And they will be hoping to keep Mason fit for the remainder of the season, as they cling on to the faint hope that they can force their way inside the top six.
To have any chance whatsoever of achieving that though, they will have to embark on a sustained run of victories sooner rather than later.
