Wolves and Liverpool have been linked with a big-money move for goalkeeper Butland.

Stoke City manager Paul Lambert has laughed off former side Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in goalkeeper Jack Butland in quotes on Stoke-on-Trent Live, suggesting that Wolves would have to pay double what is being reported.
The Express claim newly-promoted Wolves and Liverpool are plotting a £35million move for the 25-year-old England international this summer, with the Potters edging closer towards relegation from the Premier League.
Wolves are likely to be busy in the summer window after returning to the Premier League under Nuno Espirito Santo, with the Portuguese manager expected to be backed by the club’s cash-rich owners.

However, they face competition from Liverpool in former Birmingham City goalkeeper Butland. But Lambert ridiculed Wolves and any other side’s interest in Butland by saying £35million will only get Butland’s right glove.
“£35m… is that for one glove?” said Lambert. “The way the modern market is you might get one glove for that. I know the people at Wolves, but that will get Jack’s right-hand glove.”

Butland has arguably been Stoke’s best player this season despite only managing to keep six clean sheets, as Stoke sit in 19th place and three points adrift of safety with only two league games to play.
He has a contract at the Britannia Stadium until the summer of 2021, but relegation could see Butland look for an instant return to the Premier League with Wolves and Liverpool keen.
Wolves currently have former England international John Ruddy in goal, while the Reds boast Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius but surely Butland would be considered ahead of all three if signed.
