Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Blackburn Rovers’ Ben Marshall ahead of the January transfer window.
Paul Lambert has refused to deny reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Blackburn Rovers midfielder Ben Marshall, as per his comments in the Express and Star.
Marshall’s contract at Blackburn expires at the end of the season, meaning he could be available at a cut price in the January transfer window.
Wolves have already been linked with the 25-year-old, who has been a mainstay in Rovers’ side so far this term.
And although Lambert was not prepared to confirm whether Wolves wanted to sign Marshall, he would not deny the reports.
He said: “I know Ben really well. He’s Blackburn’s player and I know his contract is up (this summer) and all of those things.
“(But) it’s unfair to be talking about somebody’s player.”
Wolves are believed to be looking to strengthen in the January transfer window, as they look to move up the Championship table.
The Midlands side are currently sat in 18th place in the second tier, after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Lambert has already spoken of his desire to bring in players with Championship experience, and Marshall would certainly fit that description.
