Wolves boss Paul Lambert spoke to the media during his pre-match press conference, and opened up on his relationship with the club’s owners Fosun International, highlighting the ‘great’ dialogue he shares with them, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Scotsman finds himself under ever increasing pressure, with his side languishing in 21st spot in the Championship table, just one point clear of the relegation zone, although they do have at least one game in hand on the clubs in and around them.
Tuesday night’s draw at Ipswich Town ended a run of five consecutive league defeats, and they will be desperate for all three points tomorrow when they play host to rock-bottom Rotherham United.
Lambert’s role as Wolves boss has come under the microscope in recent weeks, but he was adamant that his job is not under threat, highlighting the fantastic relationship he shares with the club’s owners, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“They’ve been great, we’ve got great dialogue which is important. Everyone wants to do well. If you strip the club way back to the summer it must have been absolute turmoil here. It’s new for the owners as well – everything’s new. They’re still finding their feet. As each week and day goes by they see what’s going on, I’ve spoken to them, no problem. If we get through this then the summer is a big thing.”
Three of Wolves’ next five Championship games are at home, and Lambert’s men will surely be looking at a return of at least nine points form the 15 available, if they are to extricate themselves from the threat of relegation.
