The winger looks set to be a casualty of the total imbalance within the squad.
Wolves boss Paul Lambert is ready to let winger James Henry extend his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season, the Express and Star reports.
The 27-year-old has hardly been a regular starter under Phil Parkinson at the Macron Stadium, with ten of his 19 appearances coming from the substitute’s bench, but it appears that he has done enough to warrant a longer stint in the North West.
And Wolves are only too happy to let Henry continue his career away from Molineux for the time being, with Lambert claiming that Bolton have the winger’s fate in their hands.
“[Henry’s future] is with Bolton at the minute,” the former Blackburn Rovers boss told the Express and Star.
“The ball’s in their court at the moment, they could extend it [to the end of the season], which I’m probably more likely to go that way.
“We’re waiting for Bolton to come back to us.”
Henry was a regular in the Wolves line-up under Kenny Jackett but, as it stands, the club has very little use for yet another winger.
Lambert likened his bloated squad to Ben Hur earlier this month, per the Express and Star, with Jordan Graham, Jed Wallace, Ola John, Michal Zyro, Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro all capable of plying their trade in wide areas.
Therefore, another, albeit temporary, departure appears to suit all parties down to the ground at the current time.
