Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Ben Marshall from Blackburn Rovers during the January transfer window.
Paul Lambert has told the Express and Star that it would be dangerous for Wolverhampton Wanderers to start Ben Marshall, given his current fitness levels.
Marshall was brought to Wolves from Blackburn Rovers in the January transfer window, but he has work to do before he is ready to play 90 minutes.
The 25-year-old was forced to train on his own towards the latter stages of his Blackburn career, after making it clear that he wanted a move.

And Lambert believes that Marshall’s spell training away from Blackburn’s first team has badly affected his fitness.
“He hadn’t trained with Blackburn, he’d been doing little things on his own, which is never the same.
“You can’t train on your own in a gym and expect to be playing high level football for 90 minutes. He feels it himself, being short of match fitness. It’s dangerous for him if we played him right from the beginning. We’re going to have to build him up because he’s had two and a bit weeks of doing nothing.
“It’s dangerous with the level we train at and the level we play.”

Marshall did make his Wolves debut last weekend, when Lambert’s side took on Burton Albion.
The former Leicester City man came on as a late substitute, as Wolves slipped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat.
Wolves’ next match comes against Newcastle United this weekend, in what will be a tough test for Lambert’s men.
Newcastle currently lead the way in the Championship, and head into the match after beating Derby County.
