Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate for a win on Saturday away at Reading.

Wolves are currently in the midst of a woeful run of form that has seen them lose four consecutive league games, and manager Paul Lambert hinted that he could make major changes to his starting line-up for his side’s trip to Reading on Saturday, as quoted by the Express & Star.

The frustrating thing for Wolves fans has been that the playing squad have shown what they are capable of with magnificent displays against Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup, whilst failing to reach those levels against the so-called smaller teams in the Championship.

And Lambert insisted that he is fully aware of the danger that his side are currently entrenched in, when speaking to the Express & Star, suggesting that now could very well be the time to mix things up with regards to the 11 players he sends out at the Madejski Stadium at the weekend:

“You learn a lot about them in defeat. It’s the same group of lads that’s been going for a few weeks now so maybe I’ll look to change some things, some personnel. There are options for us. But we have to stop the slide.”

The Black Country outfit are currently sitting in 20th position in the Championship table, just two points clear of 22nd placed Blackburn Rovers.

And they will need to start winning games sooner rather than later, if they are to avoid relegation to England’s third tier.
