Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon is fast becoming one of the hottest prospects in English football.

The 16-year-old left-back has emerged as a first-team regular at Craven Cottage this season, playing 22 times and scoring six goals.

His incredible form for the Cottagers has attracted plenty of interest from the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Arsenal have all been credited with a move for the player – as have Liverpool.

Liverpool need a new left-back option and Sessegnon appears to be on the radar.

One man who has played for both Liverpool and Fulham is Paul Konchesky. The veteran left-back has been speaking to 888sport and explained how impressed he had been with Sessegnon, but how he wants him to stay put for now:

“Obviously as an older player now I always like to see the younger players stay at the club they’re getting a chance with and make a name for themselves.

“He’s certainly doing that. Another big year with Fulham and you just don’t know what’s around the corner but if Fulham go up to the Premier League then why would he have to leave?”

There is no doubting this boy’s tremendous and precocious talent. He is thriving at Fulham and Liverpool will be desperate to get hold of him going forward – considering it appears he has another 16-odd years at the top of the game.

But, if Fulham can get promoted this summer, perhaps he might be best sticking around for the time being.
