West Ham United signed Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina in the summer transfer window.
West Ham secured the services of Sanchez from Italian club Fiorentina on transfer deadline day.
The 32-year-old defensive midfielder has experience of playing in England before, having been on the books of Aston Villa from 2014 until 2016.
After a loan spell at Fiorentina, the Colombia international moved to the Italian club on a permanent contract in 2017.
Former West Ham midfielder Ince has suggested that Manuel Pellegrini’s side should not have signed Sanchez from Fiorentina in the summer transfer window.
Ince said on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (7:14pm, September 3, 2018): “I can’t believe they bought Sanchez, to be fair.
“He wasn’t great at Aston Villa. Then he got moved to Fiorentina and then he gets moved back to the Premier League. That’s one I am not too sure about.”

Sanchez did not have a great time during his spell at Villa, and West Ham could have done better than the Colombian if they were on the hunt for a defensive midfielder.
The 32-year-old has made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Hammers so far this season.
