Paul Ince told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports that ‘a lot of’ Liverpool players are looking ‘leggy’.
The former England captain also shared that Jurgen Klopp is ‘spot on’ in his comments that this is a ‘rusty moment’ for Liverpool.
The Premier League champions suffered a 1-0 defeat to Southampton recently and it has just added to their away day woes this season.
Nonetheless, Ince also commented on the lack of ‘strength in depth’ on Liverpool’s bench.
“I think he’s spot on, it is a blip,” said Ince. “The way to come out of it, and manager’s keeping always saying ‘you have to keep working hard and things will turnaround’, and I get that.
“My concern is that when you look on the bench and you don’t see the strength in depth to come on and change the game then it becomes more of worry.
“Sometimes you play in games and you got out and you feel leggy. You don’t feel quite right today. I see that with a lot of Liverpool players and that’s why you can get results like this [against Southampton].”

A certain battle with the old enemy Manchester United looms in a few weeks for Liverpool, but they cannot focus on that just yet.
On Friday night, they re-visit the place where they shipped seven earlier on in the season, as they lock horns with Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
It will be interesting to see if Klopp rests any of his key players and whether Jordan Henderson plays at the back.
