Newcastle United sold Moussa Sissoko back in 2016.

Ince was a pundit for Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League match against Inter Milan last night and one of the topics of conversation was former Newcastle man Moussa Sissoko.
Sissoko has recently turned around his form at Spurs, with the Frenchman starting to impress now.
And Ince has suggested that one of the reasons why Sissoko initially struggled is because he was making a big step up by leaving Newcastle.
He said: “Sometimes it’s not easy when you go from a middle of the road club, no disrespect, like Newcastle to Tottenham.”
Ince knows Newcastle well as a club, having represented their local rivals Middlesbrough for a portion of his career.
Sissoko’s form was also patchy at Newcastle, before he moved to Tottenham, so Ince’s explanation may not tell the full story.

Sissoko has always shown flashes of quality throughout his career, but it is only recently that he has really started to perform consistently.
Sissoko put in an excellent display last night, as Tottenham beat Inter Milan 1-0 to boost their chances of qualifying in the Champions League.
