Paul Ince has claimed that Dele Alli was ‘unbelievable’ at Tottenham Hotspur, but he is now struggling to get into Everton’s side, as he told Sky Sports Football (29/03/22 at 10:25 pm).
The former midfielder was talking about England’s Jude Bellingham and how players could possibly peak too early in their careers.
The 18-year-old is at the top of his game and producing performances like he is a 28-year-old captain of a top European side.
A certain Alli burst onto the scene as a fresh-faced teenager, including scoring 18 goals in one season from the middle of the park for Spurs.
The 25-year-old is now the shadow of the player that would have the touch and finish of a seasoned striker, as Ince touched upon the player.
“They do (players peak early),” said Ince. “We have seen it with Dele Alli. When he first started, he was unbelievable.
“Now, you are seeing Dele and he can’t get into the Everton side.”

After seven years in Tottenham colours, Alli parted ways with the club and made the switch to Everton during the January transfer window.
It has been several months since the attack-minded midfielder has been at Goodison Park, but he is yet to start a game.
That’s a pretty worrying sign because the Toffees are battling relegation and are getting battered everywhere they go.
Plus, it doesn’t help matters for Alli that Everton, only months after signing, could get rid of him in the summer.
