Paul Ince has claimed on the Monday Night Football on Sky Sports that Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl has ‘turned around’ Theo Walcott since his depature from Everton.
In the summer, Walcott returned home to St Mary’s after making a loan switch from Everton.
Whilst his former side are also pushing for those top-six places, so are Southampton, who beat Liverpool on Monday night in the Premier League.
Nonetheless, Ince shared his thoughts on Walcott and how his performances have improved under his new boss.
“When you look at people like Walcott, for example at Everton, he wasn’t playing much,” said Ince. “He didn’t play and he wasn’t great.
“But you look at him now and he [Southampton boss] seems to have turned him around.
“Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse [also], these are players he has improved immensely and that’s a great trait to have as a manager.”

It just didn’t work out for Walcott at Everton and it was the right call to move him on.
But it will be interesting to see who wins the battle of Europe between Everton and Southampton.
They aren’t the only ones pushing for that prize, as they could also argue that they are in a Premier League title battle, along with a number of other teams.
