The father of Derby County forward, Tom Ince, had a message for Rams fans over the weekend.
New Derby County manager Steve McClaren poses
After the return of former manager, Steve McClaren, things are starting to look a lot more positive at the Ipro Stadium. Despite a stuttering start to the season, the Rams picked up their first home win of the season this weekend, beating Garry Monk’s impressive Leeds side 1-0.

Among the standout performers, of which there were plenty to choose from for the Rams, one name that stuck out was Tom Ince. Since joining Derby on a permanent basis in 2015, Ince has struggled to recapture the form that won so many Rams fans during his short loan spell with the club under the now re-instated McClaren.
However, against Leeds this weekend, Ince showed many promising signs. As a player that thrives on confidence, Ince seemed to feed off the positive vibes that had finally found their way back to the Ipro, and as well as covering his full-back well, Ince was starting to look like the confident forward that Derby fans adore.

This fact did not go unnoticed by Tom’s father, the former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Ince. The former Blackburn has been a presence at Derby since his son joined the club, rarely missing a chance to watch Ince Jnr play.

Noticing the feel-good factor at the Ipro, and the positivity that the club has had reinstalled by the return of Steve McClaren, Paul Ince took to Twitter to personally thank the Rams faithful for their support:
“Loads of respect to @dcfcofficial fans today…support for the incys was great…” (The original tweet can be found at @PaulInce).
