Ipswich Town seemingly won’t be re-signing Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Ipswich Town boss Paul Hurst has told TWTV that the Tractor Boys aren’t focusing on a deal to bring Tottenham Hotspur’s Cameron Carter-Vickers back to the club.
Ipswich have undergone major changes under new boss Hurst, as nine new faces have arrived, including Trevoh Chalobah, Tayo Edun, Janoi Donacien, Aristote Nsiala, Jon Nolan, Gwion Edwards and Ellis Harrison.
Hurst has yet to land his first Championship win, as Ipswich have started with two draws and a defeat, and another central defender appears to be on the radar.
Gillingham’s Deji Oshilaja and Blackpol’s Curtis Tilt have been strongly linked, but Tottenham Hotspur’s Cameron Carter-Vickers is a name fans have been discussing.
The United States international spent the second half of last season on loan with Ipswich, making 14 appearances before heading back to Spurs this summer.
Despite Tottenham’s lack of options at the back, with Juan Foyth recently out injured, Carter-Vickers looks set to go out on loan again, with The Sun reporting a potential move to Swansea City.

Now, Hurst has been asked about trying to bring Carter-Vickers back to Portmand Road, but told TWTV that whilst he may have been discussed as a target, Ipswich are looking elsewhere for reinforcements.
“He’s at a very good football club, I think people felt he had a pretty good loan spell here, so it’s an easy link,” said Hurst. “I’m not saying he hasn’t ever been discussed but we are looking at other options at this moment in time,” he added.
