Leeds United head of transfers Victor Orta is under pressure to get his summer business correct.

Leeds United’s ‘mid-table’ budget for next season could be bad news for Victor Orta.
The under-fire head of Leeds’ transfers looks like he could have to be on the look out for more bargain buys at the end of the season, as Paul Heckinbottom has suggested the Whites won’t have masses of money to spend.
Heckingbottom said in an interview with BBC Radio Leeds: “As people they have been good and the response has been good.
“We are going to have to do a lot of things better next season if we are going to try and get in that top 6 especially if we are going to have a mid-table budget.”

That could be bad news for Orta, who has struggled when shopping on a budget.
The Spaniard has come in for a great deal of criticism for his transfer dealings from Leeds fans this season, but he has had his successes.
Adam Forshaw and Samu Saiz have been excellent additions, but the pair were both costly.
Saiz and Forshaw have been two of Leeds’ most expensive signings, which may just suggest that with a large budget Orta is an effective transfer strategist, but it is when shopping for bargains that he struggles.

Many of Leeds’ cheaper signings have failed to work out this season, with a lot of the Whites’ additions from last summer failing to have an impact.
The likes of Jay Roy Grot, Caleb Ekuban, Ouasim Bouy and Felix Wiedwald, among others, have struggled this term.
And if Leeds are having to look for cheap additions again, there has to be a fear that their transfer dealings won’t work out, unless Orta completely changes his strategy.
