Paul Heckingbottom says Stuart Dallas won’t play for Leeds against QPR

Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas seems to have played his last game this season already.

Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom has suggested to Leeds Live that Stuart Dallas will not play again this season.

The West Yorkshire outfit have one more game remaining this campaign which is against Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road in the Championship next weekend.

Dallas has been struggling with a tight hamstring of late, and Leeds head coach Heckingbottom has suggested that the winger will not feature next weekend.

Heckingbottom told Leeds Live regarding’s Dallas’s injury situation: “He was playing with it. A little hamstring problem. We ended up having to scan it and there was some damage in there. A hamstring tear.”

When asked if that is Dallas done now, the Leeds head coach said: “Yes, because it was getting worse. He’ll be no good.”

Disappointing season for Stuart Dallas

It has been a disappointing and underwhelming season for Dallas, who has been far from his best for Leeds.

The Northern Ireland international winger has scored just two goals and provided one assist in 29 Championship starts for the Whites this season.

The 27-year-old, who cost Leeds £1.3 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Championship rivals Brentford in the summer of 2015 according to Sky Sports, has struggled to perform consistently well this season.

An early end to the campaign will be hugely disappointing and frustrating for the former Crusaders star, who will be determined to make a strong start to the 2018-19 campaign.
