Leeds United striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga has 10 goals to his name so far this season.

Paul Heckingbottom was coy when asked by BBC Radio Leeds whether Pierre-Michel Lasogga would be a Leeds United player next season.

Lasogga joined Leeds on loan from Hamburg last season, and he has played an important role for the Whites.

The target-man has faced his critics, but he has a productive goalscoring record for Leeds.

Lasogga has netted 10 goals in 26 Championship appearances and currently leads Leeds’ goalscoring charts.

It has been said recently though that the German forward has his eyes set on a Premier League move.

But it seems that Heckingbottom has not given up on keeping Lasogga yet.

“Possibly,” the Whites boss said, when asked whether Lasogga would be a Leeds player next season.

“This is what we’re playing for now between now and the end of the season. Every team we face between now and the end of the season are playing for promotion or need the points to stay in the division.

“They have a natural edge to their game, but that doesn’t mean it’s any more important than what we’re playing for.”

Lasogga was actually benched for Leeds’ last match, with Caleb Ekuban starting ahead of him.

Leeds are next in action tomorrow, when they take on Bolton Wanderers.
