Kemar Roofe is back in training for Leeds United, the head coach confirmed.

Paul Heckingbottom has revealed that Leeds United have received a “boost” in the form of Kemar Roofe’s return to training today.
The 25-year-old attacker hasn’t kicked a ball for Leeds since the 2-2 draw at Derby County on February 2-2.
It’s a calf injury which kept the Leeds striker out for so long, but Heckingbottom reveals that he returned to full training today.
United have a number of players out injured at the moment – and two more this week after Matthew Pennington and Eunan O’Kane suffered in the 2-0 defeat at Fulham – but the Leeds boss says that Laurens de Bock and Luke Ayling are progressing well, but won’t be available in the short term.
He told a press conference, via Yorkshire Evening Post: “We’ve got Roofey back in training now, which is a bonus. They’re getting closer [Ayling and De Bock] but they’re still long-term [absentees].”

Leeds, who sit 13th in the Championship, seem destined for a mid-table finish and don’t have a huge amount left to play for this season.
But the return of Roofe, a £3 million signing from Oxford United under Garry Monk almost two years ago (Yorkshire Post), will hopefully help the Whites end a disappointing season on a high.
Roofe has managed 12 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions, which isn’t a bad return in comparison to his first season at Elland Road, but it’s not a great record when you consider the fact that he has been playing as a striker for the majority of the campaign.
