Leeds United lost to Middlesbrough in the Championship on Friday.

Heckingbottom made the suggestion following the Whites’ 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough away from home at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship on Friday evening.
Felix Wiedwald was in goal for Leeds for the match, and the performance of the 27-year-old goalkeeper was far from impressive.
The Germany Under-20 international goalkeeper was at fault for Middlesbrough’s second goal, and he did not look very confident.

Leeds head coach Heckingbottom has suggested that he will look at the goalkeeping situation at the club.
Heckingbottom told Leeds Live: “What, the goalkeeper? Yes, yes, definitely. Every player will be the same. It’s something that obviously, over the games, we’re looking at and areas to improve.”

Concern for Felix Wiedwald
Heckingbottom’s comments will be concerning for Wiedwald, who will now have to fight not only for a place in the Leeds starting lineup but also for his future at Leeds.
The German goalkeeper has made mistakes from time to time this season, many of which have cost the Whites.
It is hugely important for Wiedwald that he steps up his game between now and the end of the season.
