Former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paul Gascoigne has his say on Arsenal’s FA Cup success.
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paul Gascoigne has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Arsenal’s victory over Aston Villa in the final of the FA Cup.
The Gunners defeated their Premier League rivals Villa 4-0 at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
England international forward Theo Walcott put the North London outfit in the lead in the 40th minute, and Chilean star Alexis Sanchez doubled the advantage five minutes into the second half.
German defender Per Mertesacker made it 3-0 to Arsenal with a header just past the hour mark, and France international striker Olivier Giroud wrapped up the comprehensive win late on.
Gascoigne was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance produced by Arsenal.
The former Newcastle United and Tottenham star also made a sarcastic comment about Villa manager Tim Sherwood, referring to his outspoken nature.
Gascoigne gave his thoughts on FIFA president Sepp Blatter as well.
