Sunderland and Derby County reportedly want Reading’s George Evans.

According to ChronicleLive, Sunderland – who will play in League One next season after getting relegated from the Championship – are interested in signing Evans from Reading in the summer transfer window.
The Northern Echo has credited Derby with interest in the 23-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder or as a central defender.
Reading manager Clement has said that the former Manchester City prospect is leaving the Royals this summer.
The former Derby boss has also stated that Evans has an agreement with another club.
Clement told Football.London: “There was probably a bit of bewilderment, even from my own players, that when Paul McShane went off why we didn’t put George on.
“But the situation is that we have agreed terms with another club just before we were about to play so that’s why he was initially involved but didn’t want to put him on.
“George is very close to leaving subject to a medical. I don’t think it’s appropriate to say where but it will be out very soon.”

Derby County or Sunderland?
It is likely that Evans is leaving for Derby, given that the Rams are in the Championship this season and will be aiming to challenge for the playoffs.
Leaving Reading for Sunderland in League One will be a step down for the 23-year-old, and while the Rams – now managed by Chelsea legend Frank Lampard – have lofty ambitions for the future.
