The Irish teenager has agreed to join Leeds from Limerick.

Leeds United look set to complete the signing of a talented young Irishman, with Paudie O’Connor on the verge of joining from Limerick. The player himself confirmed the move this week on his twitter account with Leeds hoping they have secured a top young talent with his arrival.
In making the move from the Republic of Ireland the talented teenage defender, who helped Limerick to the second-tier title in Ireland last season, O’Connor will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of some of other recruits from the Emerald Isle.
Leeds’ success in the 1990s and early 2000’s was built on talented young players coming through the ranks, three of which were brilliant Irish recruits.
Ian Harte, Gary Kelly and Stephen McPhail all headed to Leeds from Home Farm in the mid-90s.

The former became a set-piece king for Leeds, whilst Kelly remains a club legend who played over 500 games for the club.
McPhail is less of a hit, but still played a vital role in the club’s Champions League successes.
Leeds United have a good tradition for bringing over Irish talent and will be hoping O’Connor can continue that trend.
