Tottenham Hotspur loanee Pau Lopez took the opportunity to visit his parent club Espanyol yesterday, and discuss his future, according to a report from Marca.
The Tottenham players were giving some time to themselves by manager Mauricio Pochettino following their 3-2 win against Everton on Sunday.
The Spanish goalkeeper reportedly used this time to head back to Barcelona and see old friends. Whilst there he made a pit-stop at the Espanyol training complex to discuss his options for next season.
The report claims that Spurs are yet to initiate any contact regarding triggering his loan fee and making a move to Tottenham permanent.
It was recently reported by Spanish newspaper Sport that Spurs have decided to pay the €7 million (£6 million) buyout clause in the loan deal for the Espanyol goalkeeper.

He has been on loan at the club all season but is yet to feature for the first-team at Spurs. He has a big battle on his hands getting ahead of Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm in the pecking order at White Hart Lane. Despite this, Tottenham appear keen on bringing him in permanently as they see him as a future first-team goalkeeping option.
But it will remain to be seen what Lopez discussed with his parent club this week, as his future remains up in the air.
