RB Leipzig have already lost striker Timo Werner to Chelsea, and they could yet lose loanee Patrik Schick too if they’re not careful.
Werner’s move to Chelsea was confirmed this morning, after a couple of weeks of speculation. The futures of other Leipzig attackers are uncertain too.
Yussuf Poulsen has been a bit-part player this season, and could look to move. Additionally, loanee Schick is set to go back to Roma as things stand this summer.
Gazzetta Dello Sport note that Leipzig have not activated their option to buy Schick, and he is now on the open market. Leipzig had the chance to either pay €29million (£26million) in two instalments or €27million (£24.5million) up front, but the June 15th deadline has now expired.
Leipzig seemingly want to negotiate a cheaper deal, but Roma won’t sell for less than €26million (£23.5million). With that in mind, consultant Franco Baldini is targeting a move to England.
This report states that Everton would want Schick if Moise Kean leaves, whilst Tottenham are long-term admirers. Newcastle have even allegedly made contact about a possible deal ahead of their potential takeover.

If Leipzig can’t negotiate a deal with Roma soon, then the Czech attacker – who hit 10 goals and three assists in 25 games this season – could end up in England instead.
Now, agent Pavel Paska has told iSport in the Czech Republic that talks are still ongoing between Leipzig and Roma to try and thrash out a deal, and whilst other clubs – such as Newcastle – may be keen, no other offers are being considered right now.
“Negotiations are currently underway on the Leipzig-AS Roma front. We are not looking at anything else at the moment,” said Paska.
