Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have both been linked with a move for the highly-rated Serie A striker.

If Tottenham and Arsenal had any doubts about pursuing a move for Patrik Schick this summer, then they were surely almost completely alleviated following his stunning strike for Sampdoria at the weekend that beat a very familiar face.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported back in March that the North London pair were both keeping a keen eye on the highly-rated 21-year-old who has a release clause of around £21.7 million.

The report from March suggested that Spurs were hesitant about paying such a fee, but since then, he has enjoyed some irresistible form that will surely make a summer deal much more appealing to Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino.

The Czech Republic international has scored four in his last five, with his latest proving to be a real stunner in Sampdoria’s 1-1 draw with Torino.

After the ball was laid off into his path, Schick powerfully curled the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box, leaving Torino goalkeeper Joe Hart with absolutely no chance of preventing the shot from finding the back of the net.

Unfortunately, Schick’s game would end after just 47 minutes, but there is no question that the impact that he did make in the game should have left another big impression upon those from Tottenham and Arsenal who may well be watching him closely.

The youngster has now scored 11 goals in 28 Serie A games this year, but with Schick only making 10 starts, his record becomes considerably more impressive.

And with highlight reel-quality goals coming almost weekly it seems, it would hardly be a surprise if Spurs and the Gunners were now determined to make big efforts to bag his signature in the next few months.
