Tottenham Hotspur reportedly wanted Youcef Atal from Nice on transfer deadline day.

Earlier on transfer deadline day, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a blow in their reported pursuit of Paulo Dybala.
As reported by BBC Sport, Juventus decided to call off the proposed move of the Argentina international to Premier League club Tottenham.
It will have come as a bitter disappointment to Spurs fans, as Dybala is one of the best and most exciting attacking players in Europe.
The 25-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, would have been a great signing for Tottenham and would have made manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side that much better.
Spurs, though, have also now suffered yet another blow on transfer deadline day.
According to The Times, Tottenham wanted to sign Youcef Atal from Nice today.
The 23-year-old is a very talented and promising young player who can operate as a full-back or as a winger.

Nice manager Patrick Vieira has said that Atal will not leave club this summer, and with just minutes left in the summer transfer window in the Premier League, it seems that Spurs are not going to be able to bring the Algeria international to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Vieira told L’Équipe: “Malang Sarr and Youcef Atal? These are players who will not leave.”
