Patrick Roberts joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

Roberts is his second loan spell at Celtic at the moment, having returned to the Glasgow giants in the summer of 2017.
The 21-year-old winger will remain at Celtic Park until the end of the season.
The former England Under-20 international has suggested that he could extend his stay at Celtic beyond the summer of 2018.

The Daily Record quotes Roberts as saying when asked if he would like to stay at Celtic to win 10 successive league titles: “I would love to be here but I can’t really say much on that.
“Something like that is massive and especially for Celtic to do it would be huge, and I’m sure they’ll do it and I’ll be part of it if I’m here or not.”

Back to Celtic?
Roberts has not had too many chances to show what he is capable of at City since his move from Fulham in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £11 million.
It would not make much sense for the winger to leave the Citizens permanently in the summer of 2018, but perhaps he should look at another loan spell at Celtic if City manager Pep Guardiola cannot assure him of much playing time at the Etihad Stadium next season.
According to Spotrac.com, Roberts’s base salary is £1.3m per year.
