Patrick Roberts joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

Roberts joined Scottish Premiership club Celtic on loan from Premier League side City in the summer of 2017.
The 21-year-old winger is a firm favourite among the fans of the Glasgow giants, and his comments about Celtic Park atmosphere being better than the Etihad Stadium is only going to endear him more to the Hoops supporters.

The Daily Record quotes Roberts as saying when asked who have the better atmosphere – Celtic or City: “That’s not really a question. It’s easy, Celtic.
“They are the best (fans) I will probably ever play in front of. Celtic by a mile, especially Champions League nights are special. Something I will take with me wherever I go.”

Summer decision
Roberts is a very good winger who is in his second spell at Celtic at the moment.
Given the competition of places in the City first team and the quality of players manager Pep Guardiola has at the Etihad Stadium, it would be hard for the former Fulham youngster to feature for the Citizens next season.
Perhaps it would be best for Roberts if he remains at Celtic for the 2018-19 campaign on loan from City.
City signed the English youngster from Fulham in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £11 million.
