Patrick Roberts hasn’t played for Celtic since November.

Speaking to Celtic’s official website, Patrick Roberts has thanked the fans for their unwavering support but admitted that it was frustrating to be on the sidelines.
The 20-year-old winger hasn’t kicked a ball for Celtic since November 29 due to a hamstring injury.
The on-loan Manchester City ace was initially meant to be sidelined until March but encouraging photos from the squad’s winter break in Dubai show him training.

Roberts can’t come back soon enough, with Jonny Hayes ruled out for the season, and the Englishman is looking forward to repaying the fans’ patience in him.
“The fans have been great. They’ve been top-class as usual and have been supporting me right from when I got my injury,” he told Celtic’s website.

“It’s been frustrating for me, obviously, but also for them because they want to see me play as much as I want to play. But they’ve been great.”
Prior to his injury, Roberts did not look as menacing as he did last season and he will surely want to scale the heights of last term when he returns.
It remains to be seen when that is, but with James Forrest having the season of his life so far, there is no major urgency as of yet.
