Patrick Roberts joined Celtic on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Roberts joined Scottish Premiership side Celtic on a season-long loan deal from Premier League outfit Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old winger had returned to his parent club City earlier in the summer following an 18-month loan spell at Celtic Park.
Roberts is good friends with Celtic defender Tierney, and the former Fulham youngster has praised the left-back.
The England Under-20 international winger has also stated that the 20-year-old Scotland international left-back loves playing for Celtic.

“KT has been a big help to me since I came to Celtic,” Roberts told The Scottish Sun about Tierney. “It’s great to play football with one of your best mates.
“For his age, he has incredible experience and maturity. KT’s potential is incredible. He has a big future and will go to the top.
“Big clubs will look at him but he’s a Celtic lad, he loves playing for the club. I think he has Celtic duvets! But seriously, he’s living the dream. He’s a top talent and a top lad.”

Roberts’s comments about Tierney should allay the Celtic fans’ worries over the future of the star defender.
Tierney is one of the best, most promising and most talented young left-backs in the world. The youngster was linked with a number of clubs in England in the summer transfer window.
While The Sun credited Manchester United and Arsenal with interest in the youngster back in June, The Mirror linked Liverpool with the defender.
Top clubs from England will come calling next summer, but Celtic fans can be optimistic that Tierney is not going to force a move out of Celtic Park.
