Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Patrick Bamford has shared an update from the dressing room after the Whites’ tough start to the Premier League season.
Leeds are yet to win a game this term, and after their 3-0 defeat against Liverpool last weekend, they are just one point above the relegation zone.
Usually, you’d expect a team to be worrying at this point, but Bamford says that everyone at Leeds is rather calm about the situation, stating that everyone believes in the process and that nobody is panicking.
What’s been said?
Bamford spoke about the atmosphere within the dressing room.
“It’s been a stuttering start, but the atmosphere is still good. Sometimes in the dressing room, you can sense as a player when you haven’t had the best start, everyone is panicking a bit, they start worrying, but it’s not been like that. Nobody is worrying or even saying that we need to get that win, or where is it coming from because everyone believes in the process and we know how good we are after last year,” Bamford said.

Need to improve
Bamford says that nobody in the dressing room is panicking right now, but that could all change very quickly if this poor form goes on.
Leeds are on two points after four games, and if they continue to pick up points at such a poor rate, they’ll soon find themselves in a spot of bother.
Luckily, Bamford says the players are remaining calm, so it seems as though they have the right attitude to get out of this situation, but that positive attitude needs to start translating into positive performances on the pitch.
