Former Nottingham Forest academy star saddened by events.
Nottingham Forest supporters were dismayed to learn on Friday night that the expected takeover of the club had fallen through.
Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi confirmed the news, issuing a statement on the club website.

This was followed up 24 hours later with a statement confirming that manager Phillippe Montanier had been sacked, hours after a 0-0 draw at Birmingham.
In between the two statements, former Forest youth player Patrick Bamford sent a message out via Twitter, expressing his sadness at the situation at the club.
Bamford was sold to Chelsea as a teenager and still remains at the club, although is yet to break into the first team.
He is currently looking to go out on loan again, but a return to Forest is not exactly the stable environment he needs right now.
The team are in 20th place in the league, just three points above the drop zone, and they are in real risk of relegation.
