Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford won’t play again in 2018.
Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford has given a positive update on his injury situation today, suggesting that he is ‘getting stronger every day’.
The Whites were linked with a whole host of strikers over the summer, but ended up splashing the cash to sign Bamford from Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
A former Chelsea talent, Bamford has found it hard to settle in recent years, and Leeds snapped him up with the idea of him eventually providing the goals for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Bamford started the season on the bench as Kemar Roofe led the line, and disaster struck in September as the forward suffered a major knee injury, ruling him out for the rest of 2018.
Bamford should be back around January, but he is rehabilitating ahead of his return, which will no doubt give Leeds a huge boost as they chase promotion.
Bamford today took to Twitter to offer an update, suggesting that he is ‘getting stronger every day’, with seemingly no major setbacks for the striker in his quest to return to fitness.
Teammates Luke Ayling and Izzy Brown took to Twitter to poke some fun at Bamford, who will like something of a new signing when he is available for selection again in 2019.
