Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has told The Daily Mail that his relationship with the fans is now better.
The former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker has said that the relationship between the Leeds fans and him was not great in his first season at Elland Road.
However, things have changed now, and the supporters of the Premier League club can see how hard he works, according to Bamford.
Bamford told The Daily Mail: “I have tried to show since I arrived at Leeds that I am one of them, that I’m a normal guy, that I’m not afraid to work hard and get my hands dirty.
“I’m not afraid to try to fit in and show I’m relatable and I’m not this guy who sees himself as above everyone else, I am willing to help out and be part of the community I live in.
“I had an iffy period with the Leeds fans in my first season but my rapport with them now is strong and they see how much I work for the shirt and how proud I am to wear it.”

Bamford is the main striker at Leeds at the moment and is doing well for the team.
The 27-year-old has scored 12 goals in the league and is in the running to win the Golden Boot in the Premier League this season.
The striker is often accused of missing too many chances, and while that may be true, it is also clear to fans just how hard he works for the team and how he makes Marcelo Bielsa’s side better.
Bamford had injury problem in his first season at Leeds and was able to make only 16 starts in the Championship, but he still scored nine goals, according to WhoScored.
