Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford made his England debut today, and has been speaking about his teammates – including John Stones.
The Three Lions hosted minnows Andorra at Wembley Stadium this evening, and picked up a 4-0 victory in the World Cup qualifier.
Jesse Lingard grabbed a brace whilst Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka got themselves on the scoresheet too, with Bamford maybe a little disappointed.
The Leeds striker was given his first England start, but couldn’t open his goalscoring account as chances were few and far between for him.
Still, Bamford has no doubt enjoyed his time around the England squad, and he has been speaking about some of his teammates.
Bamford was asked to pick a five-a-side team of his England teammates, and alongside Jordan Pickford, Kalvin Phillips, Mason Mount and Harry Kane, he picked Manchester City defender John Stones.

That may sound a little strange, but Bamford explained his selection by stating that Stones was a ‘nightmare’ to play against because of his ability to bring the ball out of defence.
“I’m gonna put John Stones, just because I played against him at City, it was a nightmare the way he travelled out with the ball!” said Bamford.
This has always been Stones’ calling card. His ability on the ball is outstanding, he can both pass and carry the ball and is athletically very good.
His defending hasn’t always been great, but he has kicked on alongside Ruben Dias, and will hope to shackle Bamford when City face Leeds this season.
