Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has told BBC Sport (17:11) that his disallowed goal against Crystal Palace should have stood.
When Palace were leading 1-0 at Selhurst Park in London this afternoon, Bamford scored from a pass from Mateusz Klich.
However, that goal was disallowed as his arm was adjudged to have been in an offside position.
The English striker did score, but that was not enough in the end, as Palace won the Premier League game 4-1.
Bamford has given his take on his disallowed goal, and the former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker believes that it should have stood.
The striker told BBC Sport (17:11): “I don’t understand the rule. You can’t score with your arm. It doesn’t make sense. It’s happened with me today but I’ve seen it on numerous occasions.
“It’s ruining football. You want to see goals. To have it ruled out for something like that is daft. Even the referee couldn’t make sense of it. When the players and the officials can’t make sense of it… does it make sense?”
