West Ham completed the free agent signing of Patrice Evra on Wednesday afternoon.

Patrice Evra has posted his delight on Instagram after completing a short-term move to Premier League side West Ham United, after almost three months as a free agent.
The 36-year-old has been on the lookout for a new club since an altercation with a fan prior to Marseille’s Europa League clash against Vitoria on November 2, which saw him sent off before the match had even started.

UEFA banned him from all European matches, before Marseille decided to terminate his contract after the incident. Now, the Hammers have decided to give him a path back into the game with a six-month deal at the London Stadium.
Posting on Instagram, Evra reacted to the move by stating “I am so happy” and described the welcome from his new teammates during his first training session.
Evra joins the Hammers as David Moyes’ third signing at the club, following a loan deal for Inter Milan’s Joao Mario and the £8million signing of target man Jordan Hugill from Preston North End.
He has signed a contract until the end of the season, giving England international Aaron Cresswell competition on the left side of defence with Arthur Masuaku preferred as a left winger.
Evra could make his debut for the Hammers on Saturday, as the Hammers play host to Watford at the London Stadium.
