A number of opposition fans aren’t too pleased that Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp has won the Manager of the Season award as they feel it should have been Chris Wilder.
Sky Sports posted on their Twitter account on Saturday that Klopp has been named the Premier League’s Manager of the Season after guiding Liverpool to the title.
Wilder, who guided Sheffield United to ninth in the table, also did a stellar job with the Blades after many had tipped his side to get relegated following their promotion.
As a result, there are sections of fans who believe that Wilder should have been the one to be awarded given his overachievement with the Yorkshire side.
There’s no doubt that Wilder and his players have surprised many with their performances and results during the recently concluded campaign.
But Klopp ending Liverpool’s 30-year title wait is some achievement because it’s not just a case of what the German has achieved now, but what he has built and where he has taken the club ever since he stepped foot into the doors on Merseyside.

Who should or shouldn’t win these awards will always be debated and a case can be made for those names put forward, especially Wilder’s.
But the boyhood Sheffield United fan will surely acknowledge the job Klopp has done this season because Liverpool have been utterly dominant during their record-breaking title-win.
