Tottenham Hotspur lose, more questions about Harry Kane’s future are asked.
It is becoming an all too common occurrence for Tottenham fans nowadays.
Paul Merson was the latest pundit to wade into the debate over whether Spurs would be able to keep hold of Kane, with Sky Sports tweeting the quotes out yesterday.
Merson claimed that Tottenham ‘looked like this ain’t good enough’ after Jose Mourinho’s side were beaten by Arsenal at the weekend.
The former Arsenal man also suggested Kane would want to look back on his career and say that he had won trophies.
But Tottenham supporters are becoming tired of the line, and seeing their best player’s future discussed, every time they lose a game.
Tottenham fans’ frustration may well be justified, as there currently is no reason to believe that Kane will leave.
Despite a poor display on Sunday, Tottenham still have strong chances of lifting both the League Cup and the Europa League this season.
There also has to be a debate over whether any side could afford Kane.
The striker has years left on his deal at Tottenham and Daniel Levy certainly wouldn’t allow his prized possession to leave cheaply.
