Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to question, and criticise, Jose Mourinho’s use of Carlos Vinicius.

The Brazilian was signed on a season-long loan deal from Benfica over the summer, but has found game-time hard to come by.

Mourinho has only handed the 25-year-old a proper opportunity in the Europa League, where he has made five appearances.

In those outings – four have been starts – Vinicius has impressively scored three goals, and assisted three more.

However, from a domestic viewpoint, the striker’s Premier League opportunities have been few and far between.

In fact, there’s only been one opportunity.

Mourinho brought Vinicius on from the bench in the 1-0 win over West Brom, where the centre-forward played 12 minutes.

He even managed to hit the post in his short cameo.

That was his one and only Premier League appearance to date.

Some supporters seem concerned about Mourinho’s use of him, and also his overuse of Harry Kane, who can often be prone to injuries.

It seems silly of the Portuguese coach to leave Vinicius in the wilderness, especially given the fact he’s more than impressed in Europe.

If Mourinho keeps this up, then Tottenham also won’t know if the striker is worth signing permanently in the summer.

As the Independent revealed, Spurs have an option to sign the No.45 for €45 million (£40.4 million) when his loan expires.

Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying…
