‘Pathetic attitude’: Jeff Stelling launches strong defence of Newcastle

Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has hit back at a Manchester United fan on Twitter and has praised Newcastle United for their performance at St. James’ Park.

The Gillette Soccer Saturday presenter was impressed by Newcastle’s performance in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Monday night.

Stelling believes that Newcastle could make some pundits eat their words if they keep up this level of performance.

The Sky Sports presenter has also hit back at a Manchester United fan for his remarks regarding Newcastle.

Stelling is a well-respected and well-liked Sky Sports presenter.

And it seems that he wants the best for Newcastle and their fans.

If you watch Gillette Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News, then you will often see Stelling stand up for the Newcastle fans.

And it seems that he is sticking up for Newcastle on Twitter now.

We find it really refreshing and encouraging.

Stelling, a Hartlepool United fan, could be right in his prediction about Newcastle.

The Magpies were the better team against Manchester United and were unlucky not to win.

If Eddie Howe’s side maintain this level of performance, then they could escape the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
